Description

Two voices, one island: join us on Monday September 28 at 8:30 pm in Douvaine church for an exceptional concert by the Corsican duo Fiuminale.
With over forty years on stage and more than 2000 concerts given in France and abroad, Maxime Merlandi and Jean-Philippe Guissani embody the essence of Corsican song today. Their duo, Fiuminale, is the continuation of a rich career, marked in particular by the adventure of the Barbara Furtuna quartet, a major group that has contributed to the international influence of Corsican polyphony. In the course of their projects, the two artists have collaborated with L'Arpeggiata, Placido Domingo, Roberto Alagna, Constantinople, Bélem and Zadeja, and have performed in over thirty countries, on prestigious stages such as New York's Carnegie Hall, Berlin's Konzerthaus and Paris's Salle Pleyel. On stage, Fiuminale offers powerful, intimate singing in which two voices rise, respond and unite. Each recital becomes a moment of sharing, driven by a sensitive dialogue with the audience. The harmonies, the vibrancy of the voices and the sobriety of the musical gesture offer a profound experience: an inner journey as much as a collective bond, authentic and vibrant. Tickets on sale from the Destination Léman tourist office: at reception desks in Douvaine, Sciez and Yvoire or online: https://boutique.destination-leman.com/evenements-soirees/concert-fiuminale
