Col du Bonhomme offers a beautiful panorama of the Contamines-Montjoie Nature Reserve on one side, and the Beaufortain on the other side.

Camping is strictly prohibited between June 15 and September 15 throughout the Contamines-Montjoie Nature Reserve, below 2500m altitude (except in official bivouac areas requiring reservation). Swimming is prohibited for hikers and pets year-round in all lakes and bodies of water within the nature reserve.
