Chevran from Cluses - Hike

Step-by-Step Guide: From Cluses to the Chevran Viewpoint (1 hr 40 min): From the Tourist Office, take Rue du 8 Mai (to the right of City Hall), pass by the Zanin chocolate shop, cross the railroad tracks, and continue straight ahead on Boulevard du Chevran. At the “Michel Vaillant” company, take the Chemin de St-Sigismond, which climbs into the forest. At the top of the path, turn right toward the Chevran viewpoint. At the intersection, take the path that climbs toward Chevran. Follow the path straight up, then turn right immediately at the tree. When the paths split, take the lower one and continue straight up the hill. Once you reach the upper path, turn left to reach the viewpoint. From the viewpoint to Cluses (1 hr 20 min): Retrace your steps and find the trail you took on your way up on your right. Continue straight ahead, descend to the plain, then turn left toward “Chevran du bas/Croix verte.” Continue your descent to the road. At the wooden cross, turn left and take the path running below the road. At the intersection, take the left path that descends toward “Montoulivet.” After passing the house, continue straight ahead on the trail as you round the bend. Stay on this path until you reach the stream, then cross the bridge on the left onto the lower path, still heading toward “Montoulivet.” Stay on this path until you rejoin the St-Sigismond trail that you came in on.
