Rising in the Voirons mountain range, the Foron crosses the Annemasse-les Voirons territory from one end to the other. From Machilly to Ville-la-grand, the river's banks offer lovely walks through agricultural plains, marshes and villages such as Ville-la-grand, with its park and Moulin de Carra.

Accessible without a car from Annemasse: (+15 minutes' walk) from Annemasse station, take rue Louis Armand towards Ville-la-Grand, at the bridge turn right into rue du Pont-neuf, left into rue du Révèrent Père Favre, then right into rue Fernand David. You can start the hike from chemin des écureuils on the right. From the station, take the TAC bus line 3 to the "Ville-la-Grand - Eglise" stop, then walk 5 minutes to the chemin des écureuils.
