Cantonal sheep and goat fair

A friendly, authentic day in the heart of the village, where you can meet livestock farmers and their herds and discover the traditional skills of our mountains. Nearly 400 animals will be gathered for the occasion: around 300 sheep representing some twenty breeds—including the iconic Thônes et Marthod, a local mountain breed—as well as about a hundred goats representing nearly six different breeds. Throughout the day, visitors of all ages can enjoy a wide range of activities: Competitions for the finest sheep and goat breeds Sheep-shearing demonstrations Sheepdog trials A petting zoo for children to enjoy Free inflatable play structures Around 25 exhibitors will also be present, creating a lively market of local producers and artisans offering cheeses, cured meats, crêpes, roasted chestnuts, wool products, cowbells, jewelry, basketry, and more.
