Description
Traditional village festival on the theme of traditional bread-making.
Baked in old-fashioned ovens and sold on site, dancing with folk groups, refreshments, sale of bread and local produce, and snacks.
From putting the bread in the oven to "taking it out of the oven," here is the schedule for Bread Day:
10 a.m.: putting the bread in the oven
Starting at 11 a.m.: “With the Bread” parade featuring the Lou Bénéton folk group from Cordon and the guest group Les Mailles et Béguines from Megève.
Starting at 3:00 p.m.: folk dances, threshing the harvest with a threshing machine, grinding wheat with a millstone, and an exhibition of vintage farm equipment.
All day long:
- Bar and light refreshments, including potato fritters,
- Apple juice making: apples pressed on-site using traditional methods in the morning
- Exhibition organized by the heritage association “Cordon s’expose,” featuring paintings, lithographs, vintage postcards, drawings, and more depicting Cordon
Don’t forget to bring your reusable cups.
- The “Cordon Vol Planet” paragliding club will offer introductory flights and solo flights as part of their festival.
