In 7 stages, follow the course of the Thiou, from the Mandallaz district to Les Passerelles in Cran. This walk is a continuation of a historical walk around the Thiou in the town center, ending in front of the church of Saint Etienne du Pont neuf.
From Pont Neuf on the outskirts of Cran-Gevrier, on the avenue de Chambéry via the promenade Sainte Thérèse du Québec, cross the Thiou on a flat trail and then footbridges along and across the Thiou in 7 stages. Please note that the entire route is not wheelchair accessible. The passage under the "Rocade" road and at the junction with the railroad line is steep and uneven. Stages : The former Fromagerie Reignier A new abattoir for the town in 1893 The railroad on the Thiou river The Aussedat cardboard factory on Ile aux Vannes Tissage de Cran Paper mills Cran foundries and forges This heritage walk has been designed by Annecy's team of guide-lecturers, accredited by the French Ministry of Culture under the "Ville et pays d'Art et d'Histoire" label. Practical information: - Departure from Pont Neuf or Saint-Etienne church (rue de l'Isernon), if you have just completed the "Thiou in Annecy" tour. - Return bus to downtown, in Cran opposite Les Forges: Bus Rythmo 1 - Or walk back to the town center, using the ViAnnecy app. - Comfortable shoes - dirt path
