Practical snow analysis and safety in snow-covered terrain (1/2 day)

Learn the basics of avalanche risk management for snowshoe trekking: read and interpret a topographic map, a carto app, a BERA; recognize different types of snow and typical avalanche situations, read terrain traps, understand decision-making and apply the leader's instructions. Avalanche rescue (1/2 day) Be able to manage an avalanche victim search and rescue situation on your own: avalanche transceiver use test, what to do in the event of an accident, raising the alarm, avalanche transceiver search with sounding and shoveling.
