This hike through the woods is perfect for summer. From the church in Châtillon, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the valley.
Step-by-Step Directions:
/ From the Cluses tourist office, walk back down along Place Charles de Gaulle, then turn left when you reach Mie Câline.
/ Walk past the Zanin chocolate shop and continue straight ahead. Cross the railroad tracks, then continue straight on Boulevard du Chevran until you reach the end of the boulevard.
/ Once you reach the intersection, take the road that goes up to the right, then 100 meters further on, take the dirt path that leads up toward the forest.
/ Continue on this path until you reach the first road to cross, then take the path directly across from it.
/ At the end of the path, you’ll reach a second road. Follow it to the left, then take the road on your left leading to the church in Châtillon.
/ From there, head to the church and enjoy the view of the valley from the grassy area behind the church.
/ Return via the same path until you reach the end of the dirt path, where you’ll arrive in Cluses.
/ Here, turn right and continue on Avenue de Châtillon. Pass the Lidl on your left, then the Val d’Arly cheese shop.
/ Once you reach the traffic lights, turn left and follow the road. Before the curve and the railroad tracks, take the road that descends to the left.
/ Then, take the first street on the right: Rue du Bossey. Continue straight ahead until you reach the intersection with a flower shop directly in front of you.
/ Turn right, pass by the Zanin chocolate shop again, then turn right onto Grande Rue to reach the tourist office.
