A well-maintained and marked walking trail will take you from the Thyez Recreation Center to the Church of Saint-Théodule. As its name suggests, the walk follows the course of the Englennaz Stream, where the water will become your “companion.”

Step-by-Step Guide: This easy route will take you on a journey to discover the city’s natural, historical, and religious heritage. You can also stretch your legs using the public exercise equipment located along the way. From the recreation center to the church: 30 minutes From the recreation center parking lot, retrace your steps toward the roundabout you came through. Continue straight ahead until you reach a bridge, which marks the trailhead. Start following the path, which features exercise equipment if you’d like to make your walk more active. Follow the trail and the signs, watching out for a few crosswalks. Continue along the waterway, walking around the École des Charmilles while staying on the sidewalk. On your right, cross the crosswalk and rejoin the path that follows the stream. You’ll then walk past some lovely flower gardens. Cross the bridge that leads to the garden next to Saint-Théodule Church. Return trip: 30 minutes. You can either retrace your steps or take the greenway along the Arve River. To extend the walk: continue along the greenway toward the Cluses Tourist Office. The hike is also accessible via the Arvi bus network: • Bus: 4 • Stop: Thyez – La Vallée

From Cluses, take the D902B toward Thyez. At the entrance to Thyez, turn left onto Avenue des Lacs, then at the roundabout, take the first right. At the second roundabout, take the third exit on the left; then, at the last roundabout, take the third exit onto Rue des Sorbiers. The Forum des Lacs has a large parking lot.
