- Pets welcome Pets are not allowed in the Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval / Passy Nature Reserve, and in the Grandes Platières cable car. On the other hand, dogs are authorized outside these limits, on a leash and on the terrace only. Watch out for herds and herding dogs.

- In summer, you can park for free in car park P2, at Flaine Forum. From the resort centre, at Flaine Forum, take the cable car up to the Grandes Platières (900m vertical drop), open from 01/07 to 27/08/23 from 9am to 5pm. There is only around 1 hour of gentle downhill walking left.
To return to the Grandes Platières cable car (DMC), allow around 1 hour and 30 minutes for the ascent.
To get to the refuge from the DMC, follow the red dots on the ground.
In winter, you can park in car park P2 (at a charge), and take the Grandes Platières cable car, open from December 16th, 2023 to April 21st, 2024, from 9am to 4pm.
