Thanks to its location, the chalet can be reached on foot. Allow 30 to 40 minutes' walk to reach it.

Once in Samoëns, follow the Col de Joux Plane summer road. After 1 km, turn right towards the village of Les Allamands. Once in the village, continue for about 1 km to reach the third and final parking lot.

From the parking lot, it's a 30-40 minute walk up to the chalet. From the parking lot, take the left-hand path towards the Golèse refuge. Follow the tarmac road for a few hundred metres, which soon becomes a gravel path.

Soon after reaching the Chalets de Chavonnes, continue for 20 minutes in the direction of the Col de la Golèse. Chalet Mont-Plaisir is on the right-hand side of the road as you climb up.
