- Pets welcome Lac de Pormenaz lies on the border of the Nature Reserve. To get there from Plaine Joux, you can either take the Chorde or the Argentières route. La Chorde is a fairly steep trail, equipped with numerous handrails and ladders. This trail is not a nature reserve, so dogs are allowed on a leash. The Argentières trail is less steep, but still has 2 handrails. However, this is a nature reserve, and dogs are not allowed.
