A business destination in the heart of the French Alps

Rich in geographical, environmental, tourist and economic assets, Haute-Savoie is a coveted international destination for organisers of the “business tourism” sector, more commonly known in the jargon as MICE (for Meeting, Incentive, Congress and Event). The open landscapes of mountains, lakes, countryside and towns, the extensive socio-professional fabric, and the many and varied leisure and thrill-seeking activities are all key factors in the appeal of Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc for business events.

First asset Location and accessibility

Its transalpine location on the border with Switzerland and Italy, combined with the key accessibility of the entire region thanks to its proximity to Geneva International Airport (with strong connectivity to most airlines), make its lakes and mountains offering very attractive for a wide range of event formats.

Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc also boasts a high-quality motorway network (A40/A41/A43), a “business aviation” airport (Annecy Meythet), several TGV stations (Annecy, Annemasse, Bellegarde/Valserine and Geneva, Saint-Gervais Le Fayet, Thonon) with a connection to the Léman Express and the Saint-Gervais Les Bains valley lift (for a Paris/Saint-Gervais ski-in/ski-out trip).

Second trump card The receptive

Haute-Savoie is home to a large number of luxury hotels, reception venues and workspaces located in key economic areas, close to Geneva international airport, near Lake Annecy or at the foot of the emblematic Mont-Blanc.

Haute-Savoie boasts a range of facilities suitable for both XXL events (Rochexpo, Centre de Convention by ArchParc, Le Palais Megève, Le Majestic Chamonix, l’Impérial Palace d’Annecy…) and exclusive meeting formats in premium, offbeat venues, whatever the season.

  • Monts du Genevois: Saint-Julien-en-Genevois and Archamps (business hotels), on the Swiss border, the area closest to Geneva.
  • In the heart of Haute-Savoie: La Roche-sur-Foron with Rochexpo*: conference and exhibition centre (up to 10,000 people). The Exhibition Centre offers 22,000 m² of modular space on a 9-hectare site, suitable for events with between 10 and 100,000 participants. With its 4 halls (from 1,000 to 9,700 m²), meeting rooms (from 30 to 500 m²) and large function rooms (from 1,000 to 3,500 m²), Rochexpo can adapt to any project.
  • On the shores of Lake Geneva, with the Evian Resort as its flagship; the next G7 in 2026 will be held in Evian.
  • Lake Annecy and the Annecy Mountains: the Convention Centre (Impérial Palace with its halls and Casino), and its 4 and 5-star fully-equipped hotels. In the Aravis mountains, La Clusaz has been an active MICE destination for many years, with a range of adapted hotels.
  • Avoriaz: the legendary venue that hosted the International Fantastic Film Festival for 20 years has been renovated and is now available to host your events.
  • Near Thonon: Château d’Avully, a renovated 15th-century fortified house, is available for private hire (6 modular rooms ranging from 80 to 250 m², accommodating up to 250 people in a timeless setting.
  • Pays du Mont-Blanc Chamonix/Saint-Gervais and Megève: reference venues including the Majestic in Chamonix, a new conference hall in Megève, and the largest hotel park open all year round, with associated offersd (activities and well-being).

A wide range of activities Third trump card

Event companies and socio-professionals from the Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc region, committed to organising sporting, recreational, contemplative or gastronomic activities, offer a complete and responsible range of activities: from an Olympiad like Les Bronzés font du ski, to a frosty Escape Game, a simulated ascent of Mont-Blanc, from a memorable Apéro Quiz to an introduction to biathlon, from a gourmet dinner concocted by one of Haute-Savoie’s 16 Michelin-starred Chefs to slippery night-time activities (tobogganing, snowshoeing, fatbike…), from an evening or night under the stars to an unforgettable experience.), from an evening or night in a tipi or igloo to a special wellness break in the thermal bubbles… Highly inspiring; doubly so with a heritage and culture offer at the top of the range.

The concentrated range of venues in Haute-Savoie (a dynamic economic and industrial region), combined with high-quality accommodation and catering, meets the growing demand for innovative, responsible and committed seminars. The region – with its iconic and secret destinations – offers a unique and distinctive natural environment, conducive to creativity, the quality of exchanges, cohesion, motivation and the appropriation of new challenges, strategies and issues… So much so that Haute-Savoie is also a “bleisure” destination; once the business event is over, the desire to extend the Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc experience, personally.
