Anecdotes fair
  • The Sea of Ice revisited: accessibility and climate awareness

In Chamonix, faced with the rapid erosion of the Mer de Glace glacier, the ski lifts were repositioned to replace a 600-step staircase, making access more comfortable for the elderly and families – while avoiding an invasive construction in a fragile landscape.

  • The "Tourisme & Handicaps" label: going beyond regulations

A number of facilities in Haute-Savoie, as well as tourist offices, have taken voluntary steps to obtain the national Tourisme & Handicaps label, guaranteeing services adapted to several types of disability (motor, visual, auditory, mental) for a more inclusive welcome.

  • Green resorts and soft mobility: Châtel as a pioneer

Châtel has been awarded the Station Verte, Famille Plus and Flocon Vert labels, promoting environmentally-friendly tourism for all the family. The resort is served by free shuttle buses and a seasonal tourist train, making it easy to get around without a car and limiting the environmental impact.

  • A cross-border project for sustainable, shared tourism

The PARCOURS+ programme (2024-2028), run in partnership with the Aosta Valley, stimulates sustainable tourism in the Mont Blanc massif. It encourages the involvement of young people, responsible management of seasonal accommodation, and the development of cultural and ecological dynamics on both sides of the Alps.
