The Haut Giffre Nordic ski area offers an exceptional winter experience, with a diversity of landscapes and altitudes that will appeal to all cross-country skiing enthusiasts. Depending on the snow conditions, several sectors are accessible: the famous Fer à Cheval cirque, majestic and listed, the high altitude of Joux Plane, and the gentler valley near the picturesque villages of Samoëns, Morillon, Sixt and Verchaix.

Experience Cross-country skiing and unspoilt nature

With 42 km of marked cross-country ski trails, the area is ideal for beginners and experienced cross-country skiers alike. The routes wind through snow-covered forests, plains and frozen lakes, offering moderate gradients and stunning scenery. Among the loops on offer, the 10km loop from Le Molliet leads to the spectacular Cirque du Fer à Cheval, a natural must-see. For snowshoeing and walking enthusiasts, there are 17 signposted trails, perfect for exploring the region in a gentle way. For families, the Joux Plane, Fer à Cheval and Morillon areas offer safe toboggan and paret runs, guaranteeing moments of sharing and laughter. From skiing to walking to games, the ski area offers the perfect range of winter activities for all ages and abilities.

Haute-Savoie Nordic Nordic excellence in the Alps

Haute-Savoie Nordic has 25 Nordic areas and 26 cross-country ski centres, making cross-country skiing accessible to everyone, from beginners to experienced skiers. With over 800km of marked trails, both skating and classic, Haute-Savoie is an ideal playground for cross-country skiing, as well as snowshoeing, biathlon and dog-sledding.

Events such as the Haute-Savoie Nordic Challenge and the night-time rounds of the trails provide a friendly atmosphere throughout the season.

Haute-Savoie Nordic combines sport, nature and transmission to promote sustainable, active and authentic winter tourism in the heart of the most beautiful Alpine landscapes.
