With more than 40km of trails winding through forests, hamlets and open landscapes overlooking Mont Blanc, the Nordic resort is a magnet for both beginners and experienced cross-country skiers. Here, skating and classic skiing are practised in an exceptional environment, combining wild nature and Alpine heritage. Easily accessible from the town centre, the resort also offers snowshoe itineraries, beginners’ areas and services to suit all abilities.

Cross-country skiing at the foot of Mont Blanc Experience

Just a stone’s throw from the town centre, Chamonix ‘s Nordic ski area offers almost 20km of trails set in a magnificent landscape. Whether you’re a skating or a cross-country skier, the Bois du Bouchet loops plunge you into a magical landscape, between snow-covered forests and Alpine peaks. There are three routes to suit all levels of skier: a 3km green loop for beginners, a 6.3km blue loop for advanced skiers, and an 11.7km red loop for more experienced skiers. The Maison Nordique, close to the slopes, offers practical services to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Thursday nights add a magical touch to the experience, under the stars.

Haute-Savoie Nordic has 25 Nordic areas and 26 cross-country ski centres, making cross-country skiing accessible to everyone, from beginners to experienced skiers. With over 800km of marked trails, both skating and classic, Haute-Savoie is an ideal playground for cross-country skiing, as well as snowshoeing, biathlon and dog-sledding.

Events such as the Haute-Savoie Nordic Challenge and the night-time rounds of the trails provide a friendly atmosphere throughout the season.
