A wild plateau between Mont Blanc and the Giffre valley Experience

At an altitude of 1,250 metres, the Plaine Joux – Les Brasses Nordic ski area offers a peaceful winter interlude, nestling between Mont Blanc and the Giffre valley. Classified as a sensitive natural area, this unspoilt plateau offers 40km of cross-country skiing trails, ideal for both classic and skating cross-country skiers of all abilities. The routes wind through quiet forests, bright clearings and breathtaking panoramas. A beginners’ area, a training stadium and a biathlon zone complete the range of activities on offer for all levels, from beginner to enthusiast. As well as skiing, there are snowshoe trails, ski joëring and dog-sleigh rides to help you experience the mountains in a different way. Every Thursday evening, night-time outings offer a magical atmosphere of silence and stars.

Haute-Savoie Nordic Nordic excellence in the Alps

Haute-Savoie Nordic has 25 Nordic areas and 26 cross-country ski centres, making cross-country skiing accessible to everyone, from beginners to experienced skiers. With over 800km of marked trails, both skating and classic, Haute-Savoie is an ideal playground for cross-country skiing, as well as snowshoeing, biathlon and dog-sledding.

Events such as the Haute-Savoie Nordic Challenge and the night-time rounds of the trails provide a friendly atmosphere throughout the season.
