Palais Lumière in Evian Perched at an altitude of 1440 metres, in the heart of the Bornes massif, between the Auges and Frêtes mountains, the Plateau des Glières reveals a striking landscape. Built in 1902 by the architect Ernest Brunnarius, the Palais Lumière is one of the architectural and historical jewels of Évian-les-Bains. Initially designed as a spa, it is the perfect embodiment of the elegance and grandeur of the spa towns of the early 20th century. With its imposing dimensions – 68 metres long and 25 metres wide – and its majestic dome standing over 30 metres high on a square base, the building stands out as an emblematic monument on the shores of Lake Geneva.
