Tandem skiing is the ideal way to enjoy the pleasures of the slopes. Accompanied by a qualified handiski instructor, your family and/or friends, come and discover the ski area of Flaine and the Grand-Massif.
A qualified ski instructor with handiski qualifications will take you on a tandem ski tour of the Flaine and Grand-Massif ski areas.
Most of the ski lifts in Flaine have been adapted to allow tandem skiers access, and the chair's mechanical system means you can take the chairlifts in complete safety. So almost the whole of the Flaine ski area is accessible!
What is tandem skiing? The Tandem Ski is a mobile wheelchair specially adapted for use on the slopes. It accommodates a passenger and a driver so you can ski in complete safety. The Tandem Ski has a mechanical system that enables it to make turns even on steep slopes, and remains stable and manoeuvrable, even at high speeds.
Who's it for? The Tandem Ski is the ideal way for disabled people and those with limited motor autonomy to discover snow sports.
A space reserved for disabled people is available just next to the Grandes Platières cable car. For free long-term parking in the resort, please contact the Welcome Pavilion in winter or the Syndicat Intercommunale when the resort is not open.
Toilets for people with reduced mobility are available in the piste rescue offices, also located in the same building as the DMC.
