Sulky harness

Traîneaux Passion - Parc Nordique, 359 Route des Plagnes, 74470 Vailly
The children go hiking with their dogs in teams, and the routes are progressive. This unusual means of locomotion makes for pleasant walks on the trails of the Brevon valley.
The sulky is a small cart pulled by a dog in which you can put your belongings. The children, in teams of 3 or 4, are each attached to the sulky by a belt and an elastic leash. They walk with their dog, learning to guide it, coordinate and organize themselves with it on an evolving course.
When the course allows, and if it's not too hot, the children can also take turns sitting inside the cart,

Objectives of the activity :
- Awakening and sensitization to the dog, making the child more aware of the animal through play.
- Motor skills and spatial organization through sulky handling
- Development of individual autonomy and initiative
- Group coordination and cohesion
- Discover the pleasure of walking and new landscapes
- Sharing an experience and an effort with the dog

What to bring :
- Shoes suitable for walking, with good foot support
- Sweater and rain jacket
- Cap or hat
- Sunglasses and sunscreen adapted to high-altitude radiation.
- Water (sufficient for groups)
