This snowshoeing itinerary takes you above the village of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval on a natural sun-drenched balcony. The walk culminates with a beautiful aerial view over the village.
Through the beautiful forest of "Sur les Plans," this route passes above the village of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, offering an aerial view of it along the way.
Starting from the natural reserve house in the center of the Village of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval:
Head towards the school until reaching Rafour.
Cross the Giffre River, turn left, and follow the departmental road for 350 meters.
Cross the road opposite a wayside shrine. The route, called Chemin à Chico, begins through a beautiful forest. Several viewpoints follow one another: the roofs of Sixt, Pointe de Sales, the ridges overlooking the route (Pointe de Ressachat, Tête de Grenier, Pointe Rousse) until reaching an altitude of 1023 meters, where a very pretty view opens onto Tenneverge, Grenier de Commune...
The route then descends to the hamlet of Crot and then to Curtets. Follow the departmental road to the right for 100 meters, cross the Vivier bridge, then the village of the same name.
After the cemetery, before a bridge over the Giffre, take a path on the left that leads you in front of the town hall. Continue straight ahead until you reach the reserve house.
