La Porte du Soleil (1973) by Albert Feraud, consists of sheets of sparkling steel.
The sculpture, "La Porte du Soleil", is structured around vertical tubular masts. Cosmic shapes cut from sheets of stainless steel sparkle from dawn until dusk with the rays of the sun. Premier Grand Prix de Rome in 1951 and member of the Institute, Feraud (1921-2008) has mastered the art of giving life and meaning to materials of the industrial era.
