The pulka is a small sled harnessed to the dog by a rigid stretcher, enabling us to introduce our youngest mushers to the sport in complete safety. This activity allows us to discover the world of the Nordic dog, to learn how to lead and take care of the dog, to use the dog's traction, to enjoy hiking and the mountains, and to coordinate with the dog and other mushers.
Mutual support, teamwork and the pleasure of riding a pulka are all part of the program.
What to bring:
- Warm, waterproof clothing, warm underwear.
- Warm, waterproof hat and gloves (like ski gloves) - (avoid scarves)
- Waterproof, warm, high boots (snow boots) or low boots with gaiters, warm socks (bring a spare pair of socks if necessary).
- Sunglasses and sunscreen adapted to high-altitude radiation.
- Water (sufficient for groups)
Do not wear rubber rain boots
