The present church was rebuilt in the mid-19th century by an engineer and artists and craftsmen from Turin, according to the canons of Sardinian neoclassical architecture.
In 1994, the building underwent a complete restoration, including the roofs, façades and heating system.
In 2015, the interiors were refurbished.
