Dedicated to Saint Jean Baptiste and erected in 1868, it replaced the old Crêt Church.
It was renovated in 1927 and in1981.
Saint Jean de Sixt is part of the new parish of Saint Pierre Favre des Aravis composed of 12 communities: (la Balme de Thuy, Le Bouchet Mont-Charvin, Les Clefs, La Clusaz, Dingy St-Clair, Entremont, Le Grand-Bornand, Manigod, Saint Jean de Sixt, Serraval, Thônes, Les Villards-sur-Thônes).
