Around 1730, Les Houches created a new parish, separated from the one in Chamonix. It was placed under the patronage of St Jean-Baptiste. The church was consecrated in 1766.
Its outside architecture is characterised by its sobriety. The facade of the church is very typical of the baroque style.
Inside, you will discover a unique nave, a wooden central altarpiece, sculptured and painted by Jean Baptiste Bozzo. Stained glasses and the Way of the Cross are works of the 30s.
