Loisin's church is located on the Douvaine side of the parish boundary, and was extensively restored in 1729. The choir was rebuilt at the same time, as was the altar with twisted columns dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

In 1822, the two side chapels were added, giving the building the shape of a Latin cross, and in 1830, the present spire was added to the bell tower, itself repaired in 1847 and 1900.

The church was completely restored between 1883 and 1892.

The Loisin church is dedicated to St Affre.
