Breathtaking views of the Chablais mountains Less well known than the Tête de Bostan, but just as spectacular, the Pointe d'Angolon (2090 m) is a wild summit dominating the Manche valley.
From the Lac de Joux Plane, this hike takes you through unspoilt countryside, between forests, torrents and peaceful mountain pastures. The ascent begins on a forest track before reaching the alpine chalets and then the ridges. The panorama gradually opens up to the Dents du Midi, Hauts-Forts, Mont de Grange and, of course, the Morzine valley. Arrival at the summit offers a breathtaking 360° view, ideal for an unforgettable picnic break. Less frequented than other peaks in the region, Angolon is perfect for hikers in search of tranquillity and wide-open spaces. ⏱️ Duration: approx. 4h30 round trip Elevation gain: approx. 450 m Departure point: Lac de Joux Plane parking lot Level: intermediate / good walker Bonus: frequent presence of ibex and chamois in the area. A confidential, wild and unforgettable itinerary.
