Plaine-Joux is ranked among the finest paragliding spots in the world! Opposite Mont-Blanc, the conditions are ideal here for flight practice throughout the year.
Plaine-Joux is accessible by car and is very popular amongst the general public, never tired of admiring the ballet of multicolored sails. Situated on a south-facing plateau, opposite Mont Blanc, the air conditions are ideal here. The take-off area has been specially designed to accommodate wheelchairs. It is also one of the only sites approved for hang-gliding in the Haute-Savoie region.

Specific rules: The north cliff of the Pointe de Platé eastwards is classified as nature reserve. Flying is forbidden here below 300 metres. Compulsory landing spot for hang-gliders in Marlioz.
