Strolling along the Allee Cavalière and the Jardin Alpin, wildlife photographer David Carpano shares his magical moments, captured on the Megeve territory, in the intimacy of forests and mountains.
These freeze-frames are the result of long hours of stalking in the mountains around Megève. Wildlife so close, yet so discreet and wild, sometimes difficult to catch a glimpse of.
The thirty or so panels in the exhibition reveal the region's wildlife, with striking animal details and expressions, as well as artistically-inflected shots in which the photographer plays with luminosities and shots, always with the same aim of showing and sharing the wonders of the wild world around us.
David Carpano was born in Megève in 1973, and has been practicing wildlife photography for some fifteen years. A true nature enthusiast, he travels around Megeve and the surrounding area to photograph the fauna of Haute-Savoie, with the constant concern of not disturbing it.
Armed with his camera, he criss-crosses the mountains of our region, sharing his pictures with the general public, showing the beauty of the natural world around us. Present on social networks under the pseudonym “Dav'sfotos”, David regularly publishes snapshots of his mountain escapades.
