6 km from La Roche, in the commune of Cornier at a place called Le Châtelet, the miller still turns the wheel on the millstones every spring to produce a beautiful golden walnut oil.
This is one of the oldest working mills in the département, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
It has two paddlewheels, activated by a small pond a few dozen meters above. Originally, it also served as a flour mill and sawmill, with 3 additional wheels, two of which are still in place beneath the saw mechanism.
Outdoor tours all year round.
