A nice wild escape among the blueberries and marmots.
1. From Jean Vuarnet place (F6 on Avoriaz map), walk up
towards Hauts-Forts mountain until you find the sign
“Morzinette par les Grandes Sutes” on your right.
2. Folow the yelow painted dots leading to “Combe du
Machon”. Continue to “La Chaux” and “Plan du Vieux
Chalet”.
3. After a 20-minutes hike, you wil arrive in Morzinette.
Morzinette is a summer mountain pasture with
traditional chalets and a stunning view over the
Ardoisière Valley.
4. At this point, you can either go back to Avoriaz by the
same way or get down the mountain by folowing the
signs “Pied de la Suette”. This footpath goes quite
steeply through the forest to the Pordains via “Plan des
Rochers”. At the Prodains, take the cable-car back to
Avoriaz.
Don't forget to buy your skipass to take the cable-car Prodains Express or to bring your Multi-Pass.
