Formerly known as "Le Robinson", this former creamery in the Bois du Bouchet has been one of the Chamonix valley's most emblematic establishments since 1932, to the delight of residents and holidaymakers alike.
The establishment has recently been given a facelift and renamed L'Index, in homage to one of the Chamonix valley's most famous peaks, which can be seen from the rear of the building, and also in reference to the finger of the hand used to point things out.
The aim is to be the new place for sharing and discovering French gastronomy, while at the same time offering a wide range of multicultural events featuring the greatest artists from our country and beyond.
Attached to the culinary values of France, La carte de L'Index brings back to life the dishes of yesteryear found on our grandmothers' tables, good food for canaille and bon vivants! The place to go for Coq au Vin, Cassoulet, Lapin Moutarde and why not an Ostrich Egg or Provençal Pieds & Packets? One thing's for sure: the menu is designed to surprise you, adapting to the chef's mood and the seasons.
L'Index offers a wide range of multicultural programming, inviting the most famous artists from our country and beyond, so it's the ideal place to see your favorite bands or musicians perform, as well as a host of comedians, theater troupes and breathtaking dinner shows! The program for this first season will be announced on May 15!
Very attached to the richness of the region, all products are sourced from Haute Savoie via a circular economy and in direct contact with farmers and producers for greater respect of the planet, human beings and animal welfare. Concerned about environmental impact, all waste is recycled or reused as food for the various animals on the premises and for the compost in the vegetable garden.
