Les Jardins de Chavannex

To do this, we use in our recipes a maximum of local products of our colleagues (butter, fresh vegetables and white wine . . . ). These measures are characterized by the use of the hoe (or cable), humidity control,. . . The phytopharmaceutical products are never used on our consumable productions. To make the most of our activity, we have chosen to transform part of our production into jams, syrups, aromatic salts and herbal teas. For the last 5 years, we have had a 500 m2 park where we breed and cook snails of the gros gris species. They are snails whose flesh is close to that of the Burgundy snail. These are packaged in different recipes, either frozen or in jars. Les Jardins de Chavannex (producer of flowers and flavours) is located in the commune of Sciez in the hamlet of Chavannex. This farm consists of approximately 1 hectare of greenhouse and tunnel as well as 3,000 m2 of outdoor crops. This tool allows us to produce many seasonal flowers (Geranium, Pansy, Chrysanthemum,. . . ), perennials as well as cut flowers (Tulip, Daffodil, Anemone, Dahlia,. . . ), aromatic plants and vegetable garden plants throughout the year. We also produce a whole range of small fruits (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackcurrants,. . . ) and have an orchard for the production of fruit, mainly vine peaches, figs, apples and pears. We have chosen a reasoned production system where we preferably use the massive introduction of growing aids such as ladybirds, Chrysopes,. . . (integrated biological protection) and prophylactic measures to enable us to reduce the use of pesticides as much as possible.
We sell our products exclusively locally, on the spot, on the weekly markets: Morzine, Châtel, Les Gets, Thonon, Evian, Sciez, Bons en Chablais, Douvaine and Abondance.
