All along Les Intages road, you will find a variety of traditional farms and then, at the top of the road, at 1200m of altitude, a pretty little hamlet with a stunning view over the Arve Valley.
In the past, farms were built from local materials, mainly wood and local stone. The farm was built not only to accomodate the farmer and his family, but also to shelter their livestock and their harvests.
Follow the path for 20 minutes and you will find "La Pierre à la Sainte Vierge"; a statue of the Virgin Mary, placed inside a stone hollow in 1680 to request protection against wild animals.
