South facing, spacious and airy, La Grange is within walking distance of the Vagny chair lift, taking you up to the blue, red and black (1) runs of Sixt and the uncrowded debutante slopes. Here there is a delightful alpine restaurant and bar (with outdoor terrace), the ticket office that sells passes for the entire ski domaine and the stop for the free, scheduled ski bus service to the Grand Massif Express lift (GME) in Samoens. This lift takes you up to Samoens 1600, where you can acccess 265km of pistes including the 14km run (Les Cascades) back down to Sixt. Samoens is about ten minutes by car from La Grange The village of Sixt itself is just ten minutes walk from La Grange, where you will find a Boulangerie and an excellent local grocery/delicatessen, two bars, a very welcoming Savoyarde restuarant and a charming eat in/takeaway Pizzeria, frequented by many of the local residents.
