This sculpture is a tribute to the music that was so important to Michel Ducastel at the end of his life.
The "quickie" tags painted on the surface of the assembled metal parts give it a Penck-style street art feel in terms of graphic design, and a Keith Haring-style feel in terms of color palette. The choice of recycled materials evokes the screw-cutting industry and anchors the sculpture in the tradition of local craftsmanship.
