The mountain river Le Foron du Reposoir is a destination of choice for torrential water enthusiasts. Classed as a 1st category river, it offers an ideal setting for those who appreciate the technicality of mountain waters.
The sector, which is subject to the general regulations in force, extends over a strategic stretch of the river, offering a wide variety of profiles:
Upstream limit : The village of Le Reposoir.
Downstream limit: Saint-Charles bridge.
The cool, oxygenated waters of the Foron are home to a typical Alpine fish population:
The Fario trout: Queen of the river. Nervous and wary, it requires a discreet approach.
Sculpin: A small, bottom-feeding fish, its presence is an excellent indicator of water quality and biotope.
The course is considered moderately difficult due to the configuration of the terrain and the clarity of the water. A "Sioux" approach is recommended to avoid alerting the brown trout, particularly on the flats.
This course is an invitation to reconnect with natural fishing, where reading the water and precision of movement take precedence over quantity. Whether you're a bait, fly or lure angler, the Foron will awaken your senses.
