Access to Lac d'Anterne is not technically difficult as long as the north side of the Col d'Anterne is cleared of snow. You'll have to wait until the end of June. 1st category. Population: Fario trout, Arctic char.
Although the mountain lake officially opens on the first Saturday in June, it is still usually frozen by then. You can then head for Lac de Pormenaz, which has the same starting point.

You can spend the night at the Moede Anterne refuge. Access via Sixt Fer à Cheval from Le Lignon.

Population: Arctic char, brook trout, fario trout, minnow.
Moderately difficult.
This lake is part of a nature reserve.

    Take the D43 from Passy to Plaine Joux station, then head for Le Chatelet. Difference in altitude: 830 m
