On the first Saturday of August, Albigny Bay becomes the enchanting setting for the largest fireworks display in Europe!
The Lake Festival has its roots in the nautical and fireworks displays organized on Lake Annecy since the 16th century, to the glory of visiting sovereigns, and even more so in the sumptuous Venetian festival held in honor of Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie following the annexation of Savoy to France on August 29, 1860.
Even though it has become one of the largest fireworks displays in Europe, the Lake Festival remains, above all, a festival deeply rooted in the local imagination, a joyful and popular celebration, a gathering between generations, a landmark of the year, a collective heartbeat.
It is in its original spirit that the Lake Festival returns this year, a festive and convivial time that everyone can experience and explore, by the lake and in the neighborhoods, between fireworks and local activities.
Tickets available from 18th April.
