The team at the Samoëns municipal library and the Criou Livres association invite you to visit the exhibition of original drawings by Xavière Devos, guest illustrator at the 5th edition of the "Des livres… et moi!" festival.
The exhibition, entitled "Voyage entre contes et écologie" (Journey Between Tales and Ecology), will be on display from Monday, March 30th to Friday, April 24th at the Samoëns library.
About the artist:
"I was born into a family of artists, surrounded by large abstract and figurative canvases and many books... This sparked my curiosity to discover different painting techniques. I regularly enjoy reinventing myself through commissioned illustration projects and venturing into other modes of expression. I feel the need to explore diverse horizons in order to better understand myself."
With this exhibition, I hope to showcase these different facets through original artwork from albums created for publishers, as well as my passion for stories and nature.
I draw my inspiration from stories, childhood, aquatic elements, fauna, flora, and mysterious forests. My world is tinged with dreamlike imagery and humor. – Xavière Devos
