A very nice introductory ride for those who are not fans of cycling! 757 metres of difference in altitude over 10 kilometres, easy! with an electrically assisted bike.
It is in fact a 20 kilometre round trip on a small road in the middle of the mountains with little traffic and which ends in a cul de sac. What calm, far from the rumours of the lake shore, with grandiose and even serene landscapes! It is not uncommon to observe deer and to hear many birds.
This route is suitable for all types of cyclists, even the most experienced, a good training before work!
Opening: from April (if the snow at lower altitudes has melted well) until the first snow in December, the route is closed in winter.
Practical information :
- bikes rentals Saint-Jorioz : le Conty - Eco Triporteur - Cool Bicycle
- check your bike - brakes - inflate the tyres - charge the battery for the VAE - this route used 40% of the battery
- Be careful on the descent, it is continuous until the lake: wearing a helmet is highly recommended
- windbreaker for the descent
If you feel like "lazing around" bring a picnic, once you get to the end of the road, there are superb mountain pastures to enjoy.
I also suggest you to go up to the Frasse pass (detailed route on the app.) but on foot this time, in summer, the cows are in summer and half way to the pass, the famous tome des bauges is being made and offered for sale, a good idea to break the crust!
Back to Duingt, let yourself be tempted by a little swim to loosen up your calves, and you will have completed "an epicurean triathlon"!
