The Albert I refuge area is the perfect destination for discovering the high mountains and their glaciers. Our overnight program at the Albert I refuge guarantees a fun and friendly approach focused on exploration.
Day 1 Ascent to Albert 1er refuge
Departure from the village of Le Tour (1,450m). We take the ski lift to the Col de Balme (2,100m). A comfortable path across and then over the moraine of the Glacier du Tour takes us to the Albert I refuge (2,702m). The hut was renovated in 2014; you'll appreciate its comfort and, above all, the view from its terrace at sunset.
Ascent: 600m

Day 2 Tête Blanche ascent
Headlamp departure! We soon set foot on the Glacier du Tour. We climb gently up the glacier to the summit of Tête Blanche (3,429m). After taking in the magnificent panorama of the Aiguille du Chardonnet (3,824m) and the Glacier de Trient (3,200m), we return by the same route to the refuge and then the village of Le Tour.
Ascent: 715m / Descent: 1,320m
