Climbing sites of Larses and Barmus

Elevation : 1400m
Plaine-Joux, 74190 Passy
Sites in limestone. Wonderful view over the Mont-Blanc mountain range. Difficulty : 4b to 6b+ for Larses and 5b to 7a for Barmus.
South facing cliff, dries very quickly.

For children, the ground is stony and a little chaotic, but without a dangerous ravine. Well equipped routes to start in the lead.

Topo "Vallée de l'Arve" by Gilles Brunot, edited by the association EKIPROC, which finances the purchase of equipment for the opening of new routes and the re-equipment of old routes on a part of Haute-Savoie (part covered by the topos published by EKIPROC).

Free access to the site.

Access: Parking at Plaine Joux. From Plaine-Joux, take the path up to the beginning of Barmus. Follow the signs "Rocher d'Escalade".
Turn right along the path leading to the cliff. Follow the signs "Ecole d'Escalade", 2 minutes.

For Barmus, continue driving until the road becomes horizontal. Park a little further between two cottages and climb the 4x4 road to the left towards the cliff (5 min).
