The only remaining example of Italian Renaissance architecture in Haute-Savoie, the chateau has been beautifully renovated and welcomes visitors to immerse themselves in its history.
Château de Clermont, a listed historic monument, is one of the rare examples of Renaissance architecture in the former Duchy of Savoy. In the 16th century, Monseigneur Gallois Regard, after a successful career in Rome, built this pleasure residence with its monumental façade and interior galleries. Above, on the hillside, an early medieval castle, no longer in existence, is the subject of archaeological excavations.
