Easy family walk with a gentle slope in the forest to reach the Châtelet d'Ayères refuge and enjoy an incredible view of Mont-Blanc and the Fiz cliffs.
From Passy Plaine-Joux, take the road towards Lac Vert and, after 400m, take the path down to the right at the Cabanes du Mont-Blanc.
Cross the road and follow the signposted path across to Lac Vert. The view is simply magnificent.
Then join the carriage track up to the refuge, the ideal spot for a gourmet break with a view. Don't forget to book.
Return by the same route.
