Art and painting: calligraphy and painting themed course

At the start of the week, during the workshop, you will be introduced to Latin calligraphy and the art of beautiful handwriting, to Oriental calligraphy using reed pens that you will have made yourself, and to Japanese brush calligraphy. On Thursday, during a day trip to the mountains, calligraphy and painting will allow you to rediscover nature in a whole new light. By connecting with nature through your five senses, you will seek to capture its essence on paper in the purest way possible. The themes explored are always linked to the beauty and charm of Le Grand-Bornand: landscapes, of course, but also nature, the typical architecture of our valleys, and alpine or rural flora. To get to the studio, there are five steps to climb; the entrance door is 80 cm wide. For people with reduced mobility, it is possible to paint in the small garden in front of the studio in good weather (the garden is not covered). Beginners or initiated.
