Summary:
During a school trip to Paris, Valentine, a 40-year-old literature teacher, drops out of her ninth-grade class, and arrives at the home of her artist sister, with whom she is on bad terms. She wonders about her responsibilities as a woman, mother, teacher and citizen... and draws her interlocutors into her questioning. How can we act conscientiously?
